Beginning Of Sorrow Poem by Frank Adie

Beginning Of Sorrow

Behold the beginning of sorrow,
Do not in iniquity wallow,
Repent now! Don't say tomorrow,
For death may be lurking in the shadow.

There have been wars and rumours of wars,
We have seen earthquakes in various places,
Kingdom have risen against kingdom,
And evil conventionalized in the name of freedom.

The world is now full of false prophets,
Many preach Christ for material benefits
Iniquity now thus abound-
And the love of many is waxing cold.

Our time is far spent,
And the Kingdom of God is at hand; repent!
It shall come like a thief in the night,
When you think it is peace and safety.

There shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth
But He has set before you life and death,
Choose life, that you may live,
To enjoy the fruit of eternal life.
