Blinded by the light,
The sun is unrelenting.
The sand is hot and oh, so bright,
I just can't keep from squinting.
Alone in the desert, far from home,
Talking to the man upstairs.
Just me and my thoughts all alone,
No need to put on airs.
Sitting in the shade, of a Joshua tree,
A cool drink from my canteen.
Just burning sand, far as I can see,
And still, so much left unseen.
Soon the sun will start to drop,
Behind the mountains in the west.
And slowly I'll start to get up,
And head back, towards my nest.

Your took me on a short journey and I began to feel the heat of the day. I've never been out in the desert, so don't have any experience there, but now I do. Take plenty of water and supplies. Good message.
