Boneyard Poem by Dani Arrow

Boneyard

Rating: 4.0

I'm heading to the field in my condition
Hellbent on revenge for all it's worth
Not much left to do in my position
Gonna put some bones into the earth

I walked a line but then I stumbled
Went down hard and took the blow
Now all my morals have just crumbled
I'm the last man you would want to know

I followed the footprints of angels
All the way until the snow turned red
In a world where lies are met with silence
We're just one step from being dead

I met this lady in Missouri
Dead dreams were dripping from her eyes
She fought 'em hard and in a fury
She reached the point where all faith dies

Welcome to the Boneyard
Glad you've made your way
Welcome to the Boneyard
Yes, you're here to stay
Dig down into the dirt, dig down into your soul
You've done it all those years, just get down into that hole
Yes, your name is carved in stone
Tell me does it feel... does it feel like home?
