Deep Water Poem by Moth Harris

Deep Water

I stand here at the edge of deep water.
The calm cool of acceptance hits me in the face.
Only it's the wind blowing freely by.
The aroma of pure fresh water haunts my thoughts.
The taste of remorse gagging me,
The deafening tone of silence is all I hear

and I stand at the edge of deep water.
I am afraid to take the plunge.
Afraid to lose all of what was accomplished,
because it means the world to someone as simple as me.
'Please... Don't make our past worthless, please...'
