Deliver Me Poem by Kurt Philip Behm

Deliver Me

Wishing it had been different,
I used my last borrowed breath

And made a vow to repent for
each denial

Praying for absolution,
my final hope into the wind

Saying:

"Damn me if you have to,
but first deliver me from this lie"
