Down By The River Poem by Evening WolfHunter

Down By The River

Rating: 5.0

Down by the river,
Aiyana lays here quiver,
And paddles down the water in her dugout canoe.
She comes to a weeping willow tree,
And sings a sad tune,
'Oh down by the streams edge I sing for my love at noon,
I lost him to the aqua and now he is with you.'
She grabbes the oar and sailes down more,
She turns to the waterfall,
And takes on last sweet breath,
She says to her bonnie,
'I shall see you soon'.
