The shuttle is headed toward the sky
No one thought that it would fly
But now the blue is fading to black
Now there is no turning back
The mission of happiness is alive and well
On set backs we will no longer dwell
Watch as the shuttle moves out of sight
The future looks so bright
But wait
What has come to change the fate
A missile from elsewhere
Tears fill in the eyes that stare
The shuttle explodes into flame
Below the metal starts to rain
This ship was on a mission of good will
So why would anyone want to kill
But this has happened before
And it will still happen more
