Heaven Knows Poem by W H Benjamin

Heaven Knows

On the train, I think: if she loves me

I'll wake smiling everyday,

Look on a face bright, beautiful, with love

Love that burns and pales the sunset glow

Fades the silver beauty of our stars

Wan moon forgive me, she enthralls me so,

Charming like the burnished gold of dawn sky

With lips that bring heaven to its knees

Definition of beautiful sin

Envy of all the pretty things

Could I ever forget her though

Would you ever let this feeling go?

Wonder, love; this timeless truth

Ageless like the ocean's flow

If she loves me, if she does

That's all I'll ever need to know.
