Hollow Poem by Isaac Helms

Hollow

All alone in these hollow walls
Lost your way as darkness falls
Wondering around with no where to go
Life just as usual as a summer snow

All your life you’ve been told you can’t
Only release comes from a plant
All your attempts denied
Thought of an easy suicide

Tears fall like an evening shower
Wilting petals upon your flower
A response that seems shallow
Heart that becomes empty and hollow
