I Call Your Name Poem by Autum Foster

I Call Your Name

Rating: 5.0

I call your name and you're not there,
I can do nothing, but stand and stare,
I want to help you through this time,
But as you said, you're not mine,
I open your door, I enter your house,
I can faintly hear the scurrying of a mouse,
I climb your stairs, stale and damp,
I can faintly see the glow of your lamp,
I know you're here, you can't hide,
I did nothing, it was you who lied,
I open your door,
Shocked by what I see,
You're lying lip, eye's staring at me,
What can I do?
I cannot scream,
So I do nothing,
But stand and beam
