It's Over Poem by Lindsay King

It's Over

if you wanted to leave me for dead,
then don't come around to see if I made it out alive
if you wanted me out of your life,
then don't do what you can
to weasel your way back in
I'm done with you
It doesn't matter what I'm doing
Or where I wake up every morning
I don't care
what's wrong with you
or who you're screwing
or the mistake you feel you made
or the revenge you need to reap
It's over
Like a bad sitcom
that couldn't last one season
Go ahead and call me bitter
The one thing I'll let you in on
is that you're the reason
I'm skeptical of everyone I meet
That this damned six degrees of separation
isn't enough
And you wanted out
and now you're freezing
I hate to break it to you,
but now I'm the one who's leaving
If you wanted to meet new people,
then do it
and don't think of me
Don't call to me,
don't be obscure to me,
just let me be
