Lies Poem by arundhati sinha

Lies

Rating: 2.4

I apologise.
For I am not
All that I claim to be.

I am many people,
To many people.
Not one being
Any more real
Than the other.

I didn’t have to be this way
I was meant to be normal.
That’s what I couldn’t accept.
That’s why I couldn’t just be.

The lies run so deep
They’re real.
And that is why I apologise
To myself.

In this world of hypocrisy, many times we act like this, though our inner conscience says what we say or do is not correct. Can't help it and no regrets.

This is such a frank poem, sometimeswe lie to ourselves, maybe cause we're afraid of admitting the truth.

I am sure you are more than what you claim to be... a greater poet to be; and that cannot be a lie..... Your flow with the words are very smooth. Good writing and deserves all the votes that are there....
