You asked for love and affection
I gave it willingly
But did that give you the right
To be so cruel to me.
I told you that I loved you
We shared a secret or two
How was I supposed to know
I’d end up missing you.
But all you do is torture
And play around with my mind
Did life make you so cruel
Did life make you so unkind.
But I am very thankfull
As a lesson I have learnt
Never to play with fire
For fire will only burn.
Though I’m hurting deeply
I mean no harm to you.
I hope you will be happy
In all the things you do.
I hope you find the sunshine
That takes away your rain
I hope you find a reason
To give out love again.
