Moonlighting Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Moonlighting

Moonlighting

It is long past midnight
-I inhale fresh air and smile
-feel vein-cells of my heart
-celebrating the life…
-Suddenly I stop on roadside
-raise my voice; curse lamplight:
- "You deceive moon, sky! "

With head down on ground
-runs black-white skunk.

Silent are all the bird
-squirrels are absent.

Feel honey in my mouth
-body is sort of warm
- (think of scene that I saw)
- (can't define…)

The stare in their eyes…
The bright shining love…
The kiss-hug…

Couple worked
-Nine to fives
-then met to,
-say: "Goodbye! "

Both aiming
-for, "Moonlight."

That moment of stare
That sweet, soft cuddle

A single short moment
-to exchange some touches
-bear-hug for long kisses
-with smacks in the air…

What a scene
-soft, sweet like honey...
