No Leaf Clover Poem by Joscelyn Alderdice

No Leaf Clover

Maybe this is one thing,
you will never get over.
All your leaves are gone,
and you have become a
No Leaf Clover.

Making you mad is the
worse thing to do.
And you are because of
all I have put you through.

I've tried your patience
so many times.
You must punish me for
those crimes.

I'm willing to talk and
grow from all this.
But every time I do, you
just seem to give me a
dismiss.

We are both at fault in
this relationship, no one
person is to be blamed.
Every time one is we can
become maimed.

We must work together,
before this is over.
And we both become a
No Leaf Clover.

No leaf clover.... i love the idea...it fits perfectly when you think about the luck and joy attached to four leaf clovers..and how that is all at risk in the relationship you describe. Nice work :)
