Something To Believe In Poem by Paul Newman

Something To Believe In

Rating: 5.0

Pain is in all that I see.
It is in my mind, it tears at the very heart of my soul.
Look inside but beware, you may not like what you will find.
A fragile world of despair held together by hope, a faint dying hope.
There is no love, no tranquil eyes, no warm smile,
no soft voice to say those words that I need to hear.
How long will I still feel the rain, the chill in the wind,
or see the virgin snow sent from a Heaven I may soon come to know.
But Heaven is for those who have faith.
If only I could find something to believe in.
