Strange World Poem by Carl Winterbourne

Strange World

As the rain shattered on the floor
Like someone tapping on my door
Again i hear the wind outside
Deep within i try to hide
The sky is like a blackboard, dark
And the night so cold and staik
Things are rattling in the dark
Flying, twisting round the park
Hitting, flying winds so strong
Pushing, pulling things along
Breaking houses in its path
Dragging things in iits aftermath
Suddenly the wind stops
There is no sound
But for fear of death around
All at once the wind subsiding
People come from where there hiding
For at last
The terrible storm has passed
