Summer Nights Poem by Zoe Howarth

Summer Nights

Rating: 5.0

I toss and I turn,
I sigh and I yearn,
To kiss those lips of yours.
Wakeful dreams control my nights,
I refuse to believe these words.
Bewildered by your lies,
I try,
To stone over what you hid.
I reminisce cold mirrors of memories,
Far too smashed to fix.
Your tainted words haunt my dreams,
I miss your touch,
but what it seems,
Is summer fling is forever gone -
Faded - like the sun.
