Virginia Poem by Fred Babbin

Virginia

You have touched me.
You have called me
In the midst of all the noise and bustle—
You have called me.
You have plucked my heart strings
So they resonate with a music
Never to be forgotten.
You have touched my heart.
You know my name
As no one does.
“How am I? ”
You should know
For you provoke
By being yourself
and making me act
like a twenty year old fool.
