I see trees of green........ red roses too I see ’em bloom..... for me and for you And I think to myself.... what a wonderful world.
I see skies of blue..... clouds of white Bright blessed days....dark sacred nights And I think to myself .....what a wonderful world.
The colors of a rainbow.....so pretty ..in the sky Are also on the faces.....of people ..going by I see friends shaking hands.....sayin’.. how do you do They’re really sayin’......i love you.
I hear babies cry...... I watch them grow They’ll learn much more.....than I’ll never know And I think to myself .....what a wonderful world
(instrumental break)

Douglas Gillespie (2/9/2007 12:37:00 AM)
Louis Armstrong has always been one of my favorite performers. This song is so true
and so deeply inspiring that it stirs me to tears every time I hear the music or the lyrics.
In the motion picture, 'Good Morning, Vietnam', this song provides a lot of the sound
track.Actor and comedian Robin Williams plays the role of an Air Force disc jockey
named Adrian Kronauer, whose role was to entertain the soldiers with the music that they wanted; not what the Brass thought they should hear. This is a true story, by the way.
I have seen the movie 10-15 times, so I decided to get the tape.
All the best,
Douglas Gillespie |
