Worlds Collide Poem by David Welch

Worlds Collide

You're in days,
I'm in night,
how much can you take?

You're a lover,
I love to fight,
when you gonna break?

You live in black,
and I in red,
bereft of joy or praise.

You live in heart,
and I in head,
I see through all your haze.

You're in dreams,
I'm in life,
went and seized the day.

You're feasting,
but I'm hungry,
things are gonna go my way.

You got fame,
and I'm insane,
to go against a king

Money spent,
so decadent,
you won't see me coming.
