night

On the bus for a night
on the town
going through the
forgotten part of the land
...

That first moment of
getting up on stage
ready to do something
perform something
...

I'm at the lower end of everything
i'm at the bottom of the barrel
i stay silent and i don't let my head reach above the water
i sit low and i don't allow myself to stand up
...

Quick stepping on to a foreign
land
and spending months shifting
through the dirt and the sand
...

Being chased around
the top of a car
park by actors pretending
to be zombies
...

Just another day for another working man
tired of the grafting he's had to do
sitting at the bar in the local pub
undoing his tie, putting his hat upon the bar and opening
...

This is just a normal place
people occupy this place to
experience reality
get away from the false illusions
...

I'd rather sit around and get
messed up
why not
why is that a problem
...
