Yet that which is gained can also be lost.

Individual contributions
species coordinated.

Nobody can swim
indefinitely.
With a weight.
Tied around their legs.

Olympic runner sprints naked
laurel wreath crowns months training
amphora immortalized moment

If in darkness die
I should this night...
before see I rise
faint pale moon light...

As day passes spent slowly swoony delirious
I commit myself to restorative divinity sleep.
Like an exploring embryonic deep-sea diver
merging within welcoming murky mystic deep.
