William S. Tribell Poems

1.

Hemp and Mulberry ride the winds, blooms have fallen.
Amid the willow's swayed dance I lie down at night,
Though can take no rest, rambling skies my temple plain.
Terracotta lotus blossom in the moon's light.
...

I don't care to share
I know this about me
I accept this about me
...

Left to wither, hidden away in wardrobe dark
Comely, flocculent, desperately worn wrap
Save memories; winter and days in the park
For it may be again, form and taste overlap
...

There is a poem in my pocket,
Written on a cocktail napkin.
It's about the daytime sunny weather,
Love and heartache,
...

Once a man died
Stepping off of the curb
Picking up a dime
...

To thin
The thick gravy
Baby
...

Canis lupus familiaris

Fed and bred For coat and tail
Friend to the end
...

William S. Tribell Quotes

'My business is to create. I am an artist. I'm a poet. Not many really read poetry anymore (most don't read anymore) , but that's what I am, by default and with lack of a better term; a poet.'

'My business is to create. I am an artist. I'm a poet. Not many really read poetry anymore (most don't read anymore) , but that's what I am, by default and with lack of a better term; a poet. It is time for a renaissance! I'm tired of writing on the walls, but that is where you will find me; just waiting, and writing. Tell a soul. Pay your taxes and hide from the mosquitos until they serve tacos for Ramadan, or paint it. I'm a poet.... Not many really read poetry anymore... '
