I am 22 years old, currently living in Utah. I have loved poetry for years, and began writing as a young teenager. Robert Frost was who granted me my love for poetry. I am a hopeless romantic, and poetry is language of my heart. Dancing is my other passion, as well as reading. I am a Freemason, and that has helped my writing immensely.)

Two Souls Collide

Two souls collided
Like fireworks!
Careening into each other
Meeting in an upward explosion
Of fire, light and color.

There was red fire for passion,
And purple flames for mystery
And blue for a love
To outlive man's history.

Spectators looked on
From their perch
On the grassy floor
Watching the sky gleam
As the rockets soared.

But the sparks didn't fall
And flicker out
To rain ashes on earth
For new love to sprout.

They turned to flames
As they climbed through the clouds
Fiery fingers entwined
As they left the crowds

Taking off into the night
To soar past nations
Marking the sky
With a new constellation.

Now in the stars
Sits a rose and a ring
The symbols of love
For a new king and queen.
