Taken To Truth Poem by Zachary Bush

Taken To Truth

Rating: 4.3

Who is this man who looks at me,
This Simon Peter of Galilee
With a smile touching his lips.
He takes my arm and leads the way,
To join his friends this scorching day
With a smile touching his lips.
We reach the shore where sits a crowd,
Who eat their fish beneath the cloud
With smiles touching their lips.
A beggar came with even tread
And offered me a piece of bread
With a smile touching his lips.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I was picturing the apostle Peter, finding people to come listen to Jesus Christ. I could see him smiling because someone listened to his message, and I pictured the Lord smiling, because of his pure love.

A heartfelt piece inspired by faith - there is no higher love than that.
