Alanna Flynn Poems

A time to let my mind take control.
No boundaries or limits,
No end to the road before me.
Happiness at my fingertips,
...

I spend my days riding around
My long board remains my vehicle.
I am a young man, just trying to live.
My music is my voice,
...

A Monday morning has never felt soo good..
At one point in time,
Just a boy sitting and working.
That big smile dragging me closer.
...

I dream often.
All wildly and different ideas.
All senses, feeling real.
Where reality and fantasy meet.
...

Even as I hold you
I don’t feel close enough.
I think of you as someone gone when
I’m without your touch.
...

Summer nights consume me.
My head is full of smoke
And my blue eyes are glazed with a red hue.
Just yesterday I was in your arms.
...

On a late night
Early morning
ADVENTURE
with no destination.
...

It’s been a few short weeks since I saw him last.
And a few longer since he held me.
His last words were simply “It’s me, not you.”
But days before “Without you, what would I do? ”
...

Look at them:
Pretty plastic, sugar coated,
Just fantastic,
BIMBOS.

This poem was written by my good friend and partner in crime, Jeremy Duell. Although he isn't a member on this wonderful site, his words should still be heard.

'To honor the night that two creeps found one another. A revolution in the making with each adventure completed.
...

Almost ten in the eve,
another night in Burly.
Passing the time with another composition
of words.
...

Moving through an anxious crowd of many,
The sun shined down on that boy and his truck.
Thinking that he may like my company,
I danced close, hoping to leave him awestruck.
...

Alone, but yet surrounded by many.
Vider à l'intérieur
...

She is a beautiful soul.
Carefree and unstructured.
Her freckles rest like the speckles of paint;
That are constantly dripping from my brush.

When the world overwhelms you,
And life seems so unfair.
Just pick up an instrument,
And smell that sweet melodic air.
...

Rest in peace brother -

As I site here and wonder,
Or wonder here and sit,
...

'You know you got it -
if it makes you feel good.'
Mmm..janis.
that woman drives me mad.
...

Bland walls, minimal eye-catching art,
coughs and colds, broken bones and broken hearts.
Robots marching through countless
halls to fulfill their duties.
...

The life of a small town girl,
Is rebellious and far from NEW.
Living in a town that traps you.

Alanna Flynn Biography

Well gee. Let us start it off with a quick, shortened version of my life. I have grown up in a small town in Vermont along with my four siblings and wonderful parents. I have three brothers and a sister, so to say the least...I was a little tom-boy growing up. I eventually blossomed into a free roaming spirit. At a young age, I not only fell in love with writing, but music as well. I have been in the show/festival scene just I was just a babe, and it is part of who I am. Although I have many goals and aspirations for the future, for now I am just loving these sweet teenage years...)

From Dreams To Nightmares

A time to let my mind take control.
No boundaries or limits,
No end to the road before me.
Happiness at my fingertips,
Moving and tracing along the outline of his lips.
A fantasyland waiting to be explored.

In the matter of seconds,
Just long enough for a single yawn…
That world can be turned upside-down.
Or bottom-side up?
A dizzy array of emotions.

Fears becoming reality.
The monster under your bed is now staring you down,
Standing right in front of you.
What to do?
Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide.
No way to wake up and keep those dreams tucked inside.

Nightmares. loneliness, panic, scares.
Creative illusions. joy, euphoria, free of cares.

Dreams are like whispering what’s really on your mind…
But being too fearful to shout it out loud.
