Amelia Patterson Poems
My Dear Friend
Feelings of love and care flow through My entire body as I sit here. Your touch is comforting, and Your words are healing.
Release, Then Accept
Release... The fear that harasses dreams. Release... The anxiety that eclipses the heart.
Finding a four-leaf clover, Like winning a mini-jackpot. The luck is in locating it, And treating it like gold.
My Prince of the Universe
My prince, you make me feel like a millionaire. I enjoy when you serenade, And gently play on my heartstrings.
Watcher of Me
Contemplation consumes me. I sit here, In my bathroom, In the only place
I want to hide my eyes so that my soul remains unseen. I can't be certain that my dark side will stay silent forever. Somehow you understand me without even trying. And so I fall victim to your spell.
Ponytail girl, twirl your hair So that all may know Your shiny flair.
Waiting to be used for whatever purpose it may serve. It sits there quietly
Waiting anxiously for the time to sleep. Not being for sure when the time will come. Sitting lazily, counting the white sheep. Waiting, waiting, feeling just so dang dumb.
She searched for him the world over. He was in her dreams, but when she tried to see his face,
To the classroom I go Down various halls and Up flights of stairs As I run through my head
I need You
It's Necessary Each &
Embedded in the Precious Jewel of Time
This dance I dance shall last forever So long as we are together Feet are flowing, Step One, Step Two Courtesies are shown as others bid Adieu
A mighty hill rises high above the ocean below, as crisp waves crash against

My Dear Friend
Feelings of love and care flow through
My entire body as I sit here.
Your touch is comforting, and
Your words are healing.
Your energy is soft,
Your smile beckons my
Heart to open up
And let you in.
I am grateful and humble
To have someone so dear
I feel I can lift my spirits
Because you are here!
