Like a moonbeam piercing the storm clouds grey
Like a flame that chases the darkness away
Are friends that help you in every trouble
Sweet, comforting and so irreplaceable

With eyes like shattered glass
Smiling through her broken heart
Waiting for the time to pass
Drifting so far apart

I'm wide awake
But it feels like a dream
Holding myself not to cry and scream
It's a vicious circle so unfair

They say that life is a canvas
That never ever frays
Strokes of black and white
Intermingling with the greys

I can see her heart breaking everyday
And she tries so hard to push you away
She thinks you'll never be hers like before
But I think you're not worth her anymore

At everything
