Behind The Mask Poem by Anusha Subramanian 99

Behind The Mask

It's like when you see my face
All you remember are my mistakes
Will I ever meet your standards?
Stop stabbing us with your sharp words

It's always what I didn't do
Weren't you'll once teenagers too?
All the time compared with someone
Once in a while it's okay to have fun

You'll never know how we actually feel
All the problems left for us to deal
One day you'll probably realize
All that we say are not lies

Behind the face, Behind the mask
Is the truth if you dare to ask
Just wanna be understood
Uncover our face, take of the hood.
