i've searched my whole life to find you.
yet, i never found a single clue.
they spoke your name like you were dead.
like a memory they couldn't forget.
but i knew you were out there.
hidden, but still alive somewhere.
you're the brother i never got to know.
but still, my heart never let you go.
they tell me i'm stupid for trying to find you.
but they don't know how much i've already been through.
i've come too far to give up on my hope.
knowing you're out there is how i cope.
i cry nearly everyday.
i miss you in every possible way.
even though we've never met before.
even if you're still unsure.
unsure of if it would be right.
the hope of meeting you, my brother, is what helps me sleep at night.

you are my brother.
we're bounded by far more than the word family can mean or explain.
we're bound by the blood running through our veins.
