before my eyes.

I will be the waves and you will be a strange shore
I shall roll on and on, and break upon your lap with laughter
And no one in the world will know where we both are.

Years fall peacefully like forgotten dreams
Curling like passing smoke loosens tears
Hidden hopes rising above whispering steam
Like fingers that leave soft memories that gleam.

Kiss me softly or kiss me hard
Do it intentionally or catch me off guard

Grab my hands and whirl me around

While tiny little raindrops dance just outside my door
Velvet petals call out to your senses to adore
When only ripples remain, the fear of illusion is just a game.

Cast into a myriad of coloured dreams
Where Myrtle's blooms bursts rainbows
Upon my outstretced sleeping form
My mind busily wanders, entranced

Forget me now as the days go by
I'm off to chase a butterfly
Something beautiful, to soothe my soul
To save my heart from growing cold

The enticing aroma in fragrance
So spirited within the snare
Just a single rose in a bush

Every sweet darkness comes and then goes

Softness and touches of summer now found.
