Elizabeth Lindberg Poems

I hope their are guitars in Heaven,
a flute or two would be ok,
this is my dream of Heaven,
Like Burger King,
...

My eyes have looked upon a thing,
that took my breath away,
in the velvet blanket of the night,
a star came home to stay,
...

Open door, breeze on my face,
I smell the rain, think of my friend,
He has passed, to another place,
His long struggle's reached it's end,
...

A hairy man once roamed the earth,
a hairy thing, was he from birth,
the years would come, the years would go,
each year that passed, his hair would grow,
...

A pearl of existence,
married to kindness,
eliminates blindness,
inspires trust,
...

Tears are really jewels you know,
none of them go to waste,
they're collected by tear angels,
soon as they leave the face,
...

The guy was just so snarly,
I took to him dislike,
the more that he was nasty,
the more my tongue would strike,
...

Seasons of quiet despair,
uncertainty is part of life,
pain is a given, and loss while your livin,
and heartache that cuts like a knife,
...

Quiet,
yet a cricket chirps,
one tiny violin,
to add music to my dancing thoughts,
...

Luscious swirls of orange and Red,
Oh the passion and emotion! !
sultry blues, that blend the edge,
indication of devotion?
...

He'd found some balls of clay,
and puzzled over them,
inside a beach-side cave,
that was small, dark, and dim,
...

Once upon a time in
Ye old Ohio
(really Michigan, but go with me here)
lived a writer too dum to use her spell-check,
...

13.

Oh mon amour, taste me!
What delights mine are to give!
Of sight and taste, touch, and sound,
I have but one request,
...

The winter of the heart,
seemingly cold and barren...
but it's only blanketed
against the cold brutal reality
...

15.

What's in a smile?
A thought worthwhile,
some pleasant memories,
a dash of charm,
...

Trouble is a bubble
we escape the day we die,
it floats into the sky above
and makes an angel cry,
...

The sea! The sea!
The witchy sea!
thou art called she,
the sea!
...

18.

Short my life is,
that's my fate,
I was made to decorate,
the world with grace,
...

I am glad you're gone,
Stone across the water,
you have disappeared,
not much more then nothing,
...

If a picture paints a thousand words
so does a single note,
tingling on the breeze of life,
the sound of love and hope,

Dreams Can Be Glimses Of Heaven

I hope their are guitars in Heaven,
a flute or two would be ok,
this is my dream of Heaven,
Like Burger King,
I get to have it my way,
Nobody gets angry in Heaven,
time out's put one on the moon,
disputer's can argue with craters or,
make sand-castles in moon-dunes,
I hope we can fly on a wing and a prayer,
and do all our favorite things,
there's love floatin all over up there,
its never a bad time to sing,
I want to see who made the sun,
I wish to join peace, love and joy,
and give to the Lord all the songs in my heart,
and sail on blue waters, ahoy!
There are no politicians in Heaven,
if we want we can all have a goat,
or a castle that's high with rooms in the sky,
on the ground there are fish in the moat,
somedays we will have big parades,
to honor the Savior and King,
life will be kind, no one crippled or blind,
smiles shine, laughter will ring,
I want to live in a hut,
made of straw, on a tropical isle,
love what everyday brings,
we can play we can sing,
where even the lemons have smiles
