The Sea Poem by Elizabeth Lindberg

The Sea

Rating: 5.0

The sea! The sea!
The witchy sea!
thou art called she,
the sea!

Thy moods are captivating,
there's danger in thy depths!
there's intrigue in thy witchy heart,
where your secrets are kept,

You give upon thy whim,
you take in the same way,
there's treasure in thy bounty,
for some thou art the grave,

you give birth to your children,
from the riches of thy womb,
your rolling anger strikes at will,
to ignore thy warnings: doom!

breath-taking is thy beauty,
intoxicatingly,
seductively you becon to,
the heart, you witchy sea!
