Beneath the ground where darkness reigns,
Small rocks fall as hatchets chops,
Using force, they all take pains.

Somewhere in a dark corner,
Sits a lonely boy,
In his future lies no light,
Only darkness fills his joy.

The day is done; the sun is gone,
Shadows form on silent graves,
While the eloquent but haunting call of taps,
Salute our fallen braves.

The fallen within the gates of dawn,
Whose souls but late, have gone,
Now sink to rest, our patriot brave,
In a place where flowers wave.

There is a wall of fear that dwell,
In their minds when bad news spread,
Imminent warning signs give rise,
Of layoffs set ahead.
