A Lonely Boy Poem by Elizabeth Zara Pagan

A Lonely Boy

Somewhere in a dark corner,
Sits a lonely boy,
In his future lies no light,
Only darkness fills his joy.

His mom and dad have gone away,
Without hope for what might be,
He feels as though his life was tossed,
Like a stone, cast out to sea.

He is just as much as child that grieves,
Left desolate and alone,
Now his shadow keeps him company,
Having prayed his heart would have a home.
