Sails that fly
Without the wind

It was always my dream
To be surrounded
Covered, coated
By the gentle sounds
...

The clouds seem to have lost their shape
The sky just isn’t as blue
The rain’s song is mere annoyance
And the storm brings nothing more than noise
...

I do not see
But I realize that you stare at me
That you look into my eyes
But don’t you know that they are clouded?
...

It’s almost easy
To say that I’m not afraid
To scream it from the mountaintops
To stand tall, to fight
...

Delicate, the words flow
Freely from an open mind
Onto paper, scrawled writing
Ideas flooding the page
...

Tonight we will fly
Through the skies
That look more red than flame
We feel so damned
...

He knows they worry about him
But really he just doesn’t care anymore
Doesn’t care about the scared looks
That they show when they speak
...
