Helena Thomas Poems

Welcome back to the land of grey,
Where people, buildings and faces may,
hand themselves over to this sad gradient,

Also Eid Mubarak to all my Muslim friends,
I wish the happiness in your lives never ever ends.

As Spring hovers in the air,

Begins a journey to be shared,
A promise not to be broken.

Where people, buildings and faces may,
hand themselves over to this sad gradient,

Suncream out, vest tops, sandels, shorts on,
All for those few hours, then abruptly gone.
