how I wonder if you, too, can see
that my entire self has disappeared from view
because it would rather be chasing you...

my life is all about control
not letting anyone into my heart and soul
staying focused, staying on track

let her walk away
let her cry in the corner
where she feels she belongs
let her pull the petals of your rose

I wish everyone would just leave me alone
this is the saddest day I have ever known
bend me or break me, I don't care
I won't feel anything because

I can't believe
what I let them get away with
it all started with her
blackmail and manipulation

breathing in a room
engulfed in silence
