When I met you I felt something powerful, forgetting about your scratch

The scent of the dew that glistens from the frosty morning
The descent of the countryside’s perfume, I listen for Thursdays dawning
With the horizon seemingly ablaze, haunting flames, the sky is auburn
I guess I finally understand that this is the shepherd’s warning

Anticipation, I’m sick of wondering and waiting
Suspense holds me in
And then I worry about exposure, and closure

Fascination, I run the feelings through my mind, search for interpretation.

I find it hard to fit them all on every single line
