John Lorenzo Javier Poems

As leaves fell from trees everlasting
Raindrops begin to pour
He took it as a rain of mercy
Fulfilling his dreams once more
...

I stare at who you are fading away
Caught a glimpse as it follows the breeze
I satisfy myself with a gentle tear
And close my eyes as it fails to cease
...

The flower that once had bloomed so bright
Colors shined with yellow and white
I watch its petals fall on the ground
So sweet and gentle, made not a sound
...

I awoke in the midst of a deep sorrowful morn
And stared at the faint sunlight passing through the window
I looked up at the sky and saw it was grey
That wrapped me with the fear of tomorrow

Reflection On The Wet Ground

As leaves fell from trees everlasting
Raindrops begin to pour
He took it as a rain of mercy
Fulfilling his dreams once more

He took a step at the damp wet ground
And suddenly began to cry
Eyes were cast upwards
At the blank ominous sky

The cold breeze brushed upon his face
As thoughts were gathering into place
Suddenly a face began to appear
Eyes dampened from the tears

He realized he was looking down
On his reflection in the wet ground
Grasping the thought of what he is now
He looked up although not knowing how
