Flowers Poem by John Lorenzo Javier

Flowers

The flower that once had bloomed so bright
Colors shined with yellow and white
I watch its petals fall on the ground
So sweet and gentle, made not a sound

This flower that only once bloomed so bright
Is now just turned to grey and white
I watch it weathered petals fall on the ground
So cold and wilted, made not a sound

It kissed the essence of the break of dawn
That brought the truth and sadness along
It sang a song of clemency and sorrow
And never bothered to expect tomorrow

Slowly it started to close its eyes
As its life sealed itself with a solemn demise
I watch it as it lies on the ground
So sad and hopeless, made not a sound
