For everyone born there is a last day
The clock on our lives it keeps ticking away.

And the northbound train stopped at each rural town

This Land now green has often been so brown.

Many say our life's journey is fashioned from the life choices we make
That due to poor decisions the wrong road we do take
But assumptions to make to some people do come easily
The people who discount what is known as life's destiny,

Far north of here my journey through life began
And by distant hills I grew into a man
But since I'm not a seer why should I pretend
That I know where the journey for me will end

From their northern breeding grounds in the early Fall they take to wing
And fly towards their wintering beaches in the southern Spring
The mystery of their long journeys quite an amazing thing
These tiniest of migratory waders the brown and gray sanderling

The Reaper of lives any life does not spare

We all have our Journeys to follow as onward through life we do go
And we all have our good and our bad days and our moments of joy and of woe
Some of the daughters and sons of wealthy parents are not anywhere near to happiness at all
One would think that with the privileges they have been born into that their biggest worry would be small

On our journey in life nothing comes easy at all
But we must rise if we wish to go one after every fall
Just like the champion boxer when knocked to the floor

The ray of hope remains with them that all is not lost and gone

For everyone that builds you up there is one to drag you down
To say so much may sound negative or some may see it that way
But you lose some for to gain some and such is life they say

And every day for you not a good day

That in life i have done financially well

A journey for everyone that ends some night or day

Such people are to be found in every town

And yet they do never stop writing their dreams in life they pursue
They live with publisher rejection dreams in life seldom come true

May joy travel with you to where-ever you go
And may your best ever friend never become your foe
And may the journey to better things for you begin
That will take you to a huge lotto first division win
