Katherine Robbins Poems

When it rains I miss your touch.
When it snows I miss your warmth.
When the sun comes up I miss your kiss.
When the moon rises I miss your embrace.
...

The hardest things aren't being in trouble when you're supposed to go out with your friends.
The hardest things aren't standing in front of a crowd of people and having to speak, all alone.
The hardest things aren't making up with someone after a big fight over nothing.
The hardest things aren't forgiving someone when they're wrong and they've hurt you.
...

The lighting brings back memories.
The thunder shows my anger.
As the rain washes it away.
...

'And now I'm finally free.'

All alone, on the steps of my prison.
All alone, no one to talk to.
...

Rain drops kiss my face, a tear leaves my eye.
I see how bad you hurt, but you don't see me cry.
I know life is hard, and it seems no one is here to care.
But no matter what happens, you know I will be here.
...

My life,
My dreams,
My heart.
That's what you are.
...

Everyone thinks you love me, but I know the truth.
You give me all I want, in hopes that I'll love you.
Don't you see, that's not at all what I need.
I need you.
...

We talk about your pains, but what about mine?
I sit with you, but you always leave when I cry.
I really need a friend, but there's no one I trust.
The only person who understands, I have to get to by bus.
...

Without you I might have died.
You taken me into your home, and I survied.
You kept me fed and asked for nothing.
You are a true friend, and I'm not bluffing.
...

Now that you're gone,
There's no one to make me laugh.
The games you played,
The good times we had.
...

My eyes shed tears, like Niagara Falls pours water.
My heart has this feeling in it that I can’t explain.
There is a lingering feeling in the pit of my stomach,
I can feel the butterflies floating around and around.
...

Hearts may cry, yet no tears are shed.
Minds may wonder, yet no words are said.
Burdens may increase, yet the will stays strong.
Music may cease, yet the song carries on.

Katherine Robbins Biography

I was born in Germany while my father, Todd Robbins Jr., was over seas in the army. My family (my mother Pattrica, my father, my brother (also named Todd) , and myself arrived in the United States when I was only two years of age. I was placed in a foster care home at the age of nine. This is when I became interested in poetry because I loved the way that you could use words to say feelings but you could hide them to those who never quite understood what they ment. I begain writing my own poems when I was about eleven. A lot of those poems are lost in the past. My oldest poem on this page would be 'The Watcher' which I wrote in school to a book which was called THE WATCHER, (author's name I can't remember) . The first line in that poem is located in the book. I soon begain to write more and more. And hopefully I will write a lot more. My poems deal with a lot of feelings and sometimes you have to go through something in your life to fully get the consept of what I have written. I just hope you can sit back and enjoy the talent that God has given me and I now share with you.)

When I Miss You

When it rains I miss your touch.
When it snows I miss your warmth.
When the sun comes up I miss your kiss.
When the moon rises I miss your embrace.

Seeing lovers kiss; I miss you.
Seeing others laugh; I miss you.
Seeing friends together; I miss you.
Seeing a little family; I miss you.

I miss the smell of you.
I miss the touch of your skin.
I miss the look in your eyes.
I miss your snoring at night.

I want you back for all my life.
I want to live happily together.
I want you to love me.
I want to hear your voice.

I miss your ways.
I wish to see you again.
I miss everything you do.
I only want you.
