I Need You Poem by Katherine Robbins

I Need You

Rating: 5.0

Everyone thinks you love me, but I know the truth.
You give me all I want, in hopes that I'll love you.
Don't you see, that's not at all what I need.
I need you.

You say you're always busy, and only take me to eat.
Sometimes when we go somewere, we talk as we meet.
Don't you see, that's not at all what I need.
I need you.

When I call you, we talk not so much.
I say I love you, and all you do is nod.
Don't you see, that's not at all what I need.
I need you.

When I need a shoulder to lean on, you're never there.
Sometimes it feels like you just don't care.
Don't you see, that's not at all what I need.
I need you.

I need a friend, as well as a father.
I need help to see the places were I falter.
Don't you see, that's exactly what I need.
I need you.
