In the way only lovers do
Then all Id be sayings three words
But there meaning would never be true

Theres a girl with golden hair
She wears a smile that says
I dont care
Beneath her smile I sense her pain

The sun shone through my window, burning eyes already sore
My head, pounded from the inside
My throat was dry and raw
As I rolled over to shade my eyes, there staring back at me, the ugliest woman, I have ever seen

Framed by gold silken locks

Lips like rubies on skin as fair as milk

I know Im not wanted here, as I sit and wait
Just watching my son have his hair cut
