Hopes soar with your dark eyes.
Dreams tremble in your presence
as we dropp all pretense and disguise.

The crowded room goes empty
and my world, it fades to grey.
My love has found another love
and I must go away.

We climb the tree, just you and me,
to our own little house up above
where we can play and laugh all day
and fill our time with love.

In the solitary melange of my garden I lie,
untouched, but moved, by the vagrant cloud.
I yearn for elusive droplets, raining upon my roses,
the moisture they find so desirable.

Hope dims when we are parted,
removed from the source of its brilliance.

That lurking predator, Doubt,

Gone the darkness from my eyes
and the chains that bound my heart,
banished along with lonesome sighs,
repelled when our music starts.

His rich dark eyes have captured mine and I find myself at loss.
I'm deep within a river of red, a flood I cannot cross.

My heart, it swells within my throat as dreams begin to soar.
