Mark Williams Poems

You. An accidental tangent.
Trying to not gaze.
Accelerating thoughts,
Must not dwell.
...

'You are beautiful'.
No.
False start.
...

The small hill, astral farm included,
Encased by mountains of trees:
Longleaf, Silver Maple, Sawtooth, Magnolia.
Smothering undergrowth of white roses.
...

Because,
So many words to be spoken,
Choosing words, too delicate,
A puzzle with many missing pieces,
...

You do not.
Not looking into your eyes, knowing that.
The ripples in your life are so very small.
So infantile, a baby crawling but not shrieking.
...

6.

I will never let anyone fall

Shackles, shaken - sullied on earth.
Verbose evisceration, vibrating steel,
...

Allegory to complacency.
Idling, wallows in pleasantry.
Ancient god, too bright remains.
The disc orbiting hinders mild entropy.

Tell me again the difference between love and affection,
I am dizzy for the loss of direction.
Stumbling blind and not knowing the reason.
Explain to me in great detail without missing parts,
...

9.

I need to be anyone else so I can love you
Labels and names betray my rotated faces
We have told a hundred lies to be here
Walking on pins, what does it matter if we fall
...

I want what no one else wants.
Too much, and not enough strength becomes it.
Even in dreams it draws, breathes me in.
I cannot hold it but I need it close,
...

I am a know nothing
From my birth
Through my growth
Until my death
...

To be honest I have not been honest.
I've been hiding a part of myself from you this whole time, and it isn't right and you deserve better;
Both from me and Her.
I thought it was okay because we are both warriors.
...

13.

Disconnect the perfect line,
Cycle indestructible,
Humans worship:
Birth,
...

14.

My love for you is like a string, mistress.
A string coated in gasoline.
A madman is calling me, to tie it in knots,
Or he will take my mistress' life.

Waterfall

You. An accidental tangent.
Trying to not gaze.
Accelerating thoughts,
Must not dwell.
Sight,
Not, moving.
Seized, imprisoned next to your eyes.
The books keep whimpering,
'Not the one being sought'.
Enthralled without reason.
Mind being controlled.

You are the ache between breaths.
Such sweet terror,
Fulfilling.
When your mouth trembles, so slightly.
Draw breath from the entire world,
Speak.
Un-flow the currents of void,
Which keep complete peace.

You are a matched opponent.
Strength garnered over years,
Focused determination to seek judgment.
Torching temples with bustling speed,
Trampling over graves of great warriors.

You are the road traveled in bleak hours.
Unknown homes lie here with untrifled guests,
So afraid.
Hoping to clear away,
Back to light, open spaces,
Not knowing any part.

You are the disappearing Earth.
The terrible hubris, the realized audacity.
Hoping for a response to the inner monologue,
Hoping for death.

You are a reminder.

You are an embarrassment.

You are a mistake
Tiny wound
Ignored frame
Encircling rapture
Seventh chain
You are incomplete thoughts

You are an excuse
