There was this thing about her
A grace she exuded so effortlessly
It was amazing just to see her walk into a room
All eyes would light up

It is the grit that inspires me
The leather in my gruff exterior
A bi-product of where I come from
A tribute to the way I was raised

I rather be secluded in silence
In the peacefulness of self
Come and go as the spirit please
