I started to write about how
I love you
but then the mind couldn't distinguish
which was I, or you, or love...
I started to write that our love was like
diamonds falling like raindrops in the sunlight
or raindrops falling like diamonds in the sunlight
but then the mind couldn't distinguish
which was rain, or diamonds, or sunlight, or love...
I started to write about
a star as bright as love itself,
watched as it appeared
in a boundless universe
but then the mind couldn't distinguish
which was the brilliant star, or boundless universe,
or I the watcher.
So how come your name's dropped off my 'also read' list? Shucks.
Surprised at the low rating of this....I think it's worth a ten! Who has not felt this way? I think everyone has had this feeling at one time or another. Good one!
yes mister shepard it is one of your strong points you seem to be able to write about Love very well and this is an example of your craft so if i like it i have to give a ten Warm regards allan
This should be required reading for every budding young poet who finds himself/herself in love and wants to write a love poem. This is a love poem at its finest. Raynette
starts with a wallop! I find the first two stanzas, especially, wonderful.
this is brilliant, Michael. struck a chord on the old heartstrings. (Gmaj7, i believe) . Jake

I like this Michael, although it does remind me of the one whose name seems to be a bit taboo on this site. You know, California, in the sixties. But it touched a nerve in me, pleasantly. H
